Ms. Upmeyer

Hi there! My name is Megan Upmeyer and I am an Algebra/Honors Algebra teacher here at Segerstrom. Over the past year I have realized that teaching is where I feel most like myself, so I am very happy to be back in the classroom. I truly feel passionate about helping students gain confidence in learning. While math is not everyone's favorite subjuect, I feel strongly that math is a great tool for gaining skills in problem solving. Doing math problems is like lifting weights for your brain😆.

I am an alumni of Martin Luther King HS in Riverside. I attended undergraduate and graduate school at University of California Irvine. Zot! Zot! Zot! While at UCI, I competed on the cross country and track team on an athletic scholoarship. I still enjoy running today, just not nearly as fast as I used to😜! In my free time I enjoy going to the beach with my husband and two adorable boys Isaiah and Asher.

I am happy to be teaching at the best school in Santa Ana and excited to see student faces in person!
