Hello Sierra Rangers. I am your principal, Mr. Ramirez and I would like to welcome you back to the start of the 2024-2025 school year. Monday, August 12th is a big day for our staff, your parents and most importantly, you.

For our students in grades TK-5, school starts at 8:15AM, but I recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early so you have an opportunity to eat breakfast and say hello to your new teacher and classmates. For our students in grades 6-8 school begins at 8:30AM, but I strongly encourage you to arrive no later than 8:10AM so you can locate your 1st period class on our locator sheets that will be posted throughout the school and so you can eat breakfast before starting your big day. Several staff members will be available to help all students get to their destination on the first day of school. 

I know that some of you have been personally affected by the challenges we have all faced the last few years as a result of the pandemic, and I encourage you to connect with a counselor or any Sierra staff member you trust if you need help with any emotions or feelings you may be struggling with.  

Sierra Rangers are strong and resilient. Make your parents proud by being responsible and by continuing to make good choices everyday. Always think of the sacrifices your parents make to help provide for you and keep in mind the great things an education will be able to do for you and your family. Always remember, that no matter how hard your parents and teachers work to give you the opportunity of a world-class education, it’s up to you to be responsible and make the choices that will bring you success. We are here to support you with anything, just reach out to us and you will always find a caring person at Sierra.

Hola Sierra Rangers. Soy su director, el Sr. Ramirez y me gustaría darles la bienvenida al comienzo del año escolar 2024-2025. El 12 de agosto es un gran día para nuestro personal, sus padres y, lo más importante, para ustedes los estudiantes.

Para los alumnos de los grados TK-5, la escuela comienza a las 8:15 AM, pero les recomiendo que estén al menos 15 minutos antes en la escuela para que tengan la oportunidad de desayunar y saludar a sus profesores y compañeros de clase. Para los alumnos de los grados 6-8 la escuela comienza a las 8:30AM, pero les pido que estén en la escuela a las 8:10AM para que puedan encontrar su primera clase en nuestras hojas de información y puedan desayunar antes de este dia importante.  

Sé que algunos de ustedes han sido afectados personalmente por los retos que hemos enfrentado a resultado de la pandemia, y los animo a que se comuniquen con una consejera o cualquier miembro del personal de Sierra en quien confíen si necesitan ayuda con cualquier emoción o sentimiento con el que puedan estar teniendo dificultad.

Los Rangers de Sierra son fuertes y resistentes. Hagan que sus padres se sientan orgullosos de ustedes siendo responsables y tomando buenas decisiones todos los días. Piensen siempre en los sacrificios que tus padres hacen para darle lo que ustedes necesitan y tengan en cuenta las grandes cosas que la educación podrá hacer para ti y tu familia. Recuerden siempre que no importa cuánto trabajen sus padres y maestros para brindarle la oportunidad de una educación de clase mundial, todo depende de que ustedes sean responsables y tomen las decisiones que les traerán el éxito. Estamos aquí para apoyarlos con cualquier cosa, solo comuníquense con nosotros y siempre encontrarán una persona cariñosa en Sierra.
