Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Aida Espinoza

My name is Aida Espinoza. I am the 8th grade Science and Apex 9th -12th teacher at REACH Academy.  I love teaching!  I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Child Development at California State University, Fullerton, my Teaching Credential and Masters of Arts in Education at National University, and most recently I earned my Special Education Mild-Moderate Credential.

I started teaching in 1997 and am currently enjoying my 24th year teaching.  I have taught K-12 classes in my career.  I enjoy working with children and helping them reach their dreams through their education.  I believe every child should be valued and treated with respect.  An education should empower a child and help him make positive contributions to our world.  My teaching philosophy is based on respecting differences, tapping into talents, and sharing my love for learning with my students.  I believe we all have something to contribute and I learn so much from my students each and every day. I believe in a consistent, positive and respectful approach to making lasting, meaningful behavior changes.

My husband is also a teacher at REACH Academy.  We have been married 26 years and have a beautiful family. Both my husband and I were raised in Santa Ana and attended Kindergarten through 12th grade at SAUSD.  I attended Lincoln Elementary, Glenn L. Martin Elementary, Lowell Elementary, Lathrop Intermediate, Santa Ana High School, Valley High School and Independent Studies at Saddleback High School.  I graduated from Valley High School and continued onto Santa Ana College (it was named Rancho Santiago Community College when I attended).

A quote I live by: “I am still determined to be cheerful and happy in whatever situation I may be: for I have also learned from experience that the greater part of our happiness or misery depends upon our dispositions, and not upon our circumstances.” –Martha Washington

I look forward to getting to know you  and making you laugh during our school year.
